meet YASMINA
CNN & BBC journalist
turned histamine researcher
Hi, my name is Yasmina Ykelenstam.
After decades of searching for answers, I was diagnosed with Histamine Intolerance (HIT) and told long term elimination of healthy foods was the only answer. My symptoms did get better for a little while, then intensified, till I was left with only five “safe” foods. I never knew how food was going to affect me, and one day I said “enough is enough” and used my decade of research skills honed at 60 Minutes, the BBC and CNN to learn ways to heal my body from the ravages of histamine inflammation.
Drawing upon my experience as a CNN and BBC journalist of 10 years, I delved into numerous histamine-related studies and interviewed leading medical experts, authors, and healers in an effort to better understand my condition and why past solutions had failed me.
With that information I was finally empowered to take back control of my deteriorated mind, body, and soul, embracing the fridge and fields as my medicine cabinet, along with a huge dose of positivity, meditation, and yoga.
It was from that place of sheer joy, happiness, and clarity that I decided to arm others with guidance and knowledge that will help enlighten and empower them to wrestle control of their life back from histamine.

More information about Medical:
Medicine is the science and practice of establishing the diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
Medicine encompasses a variety of health care practices evolved to maintain and restore health by the prevention and treatment of illness.
Contemporary medicine applies biomedical sciences, biomedical research, genetics, and medical technology to diagnose, treat, and prevent injury and disease,
typically through pharmaceuticals or surgery, but also through therapies as diverse as psychotherapy, external splints and traction, medical devices, biologics, and ionizing radiation, amongst others.
Medicine has been around for thousands of years, during most of which it was an art (an area of skill and knowledge) frequently having connections to the religious and
philosophical beliefs of local culture. For example, a medicine man would apply herbs and say prayers for healing, or an ancient philosopher and physician would apply bloodletting according to the theories of humorism.
In recent centuries, since the advent of modern science, most medicine has become a combination of art and science (both basic and applied, under the umbrella of medical science).
While stitching technique for sutures is an art learned through practice, the knowledge of what happens at the cellular and molecular level in the tissues being stitched arises through science.
