Alberto Gallazzi – Tacfit Survival

Fifteen years ago, I got a call from an Italian bodyguard who was moving to the United States. Ironically, in the same year, my business partner Nikolai Travkin and I launched a startup company. The bodyguard and I discussed a lot of issues, but in particular, how to provide a fitness platform that would give people a “fighter’s form” without the physical difficulties of a real fight.During the discussion, a concept was identified that, as far as I know, has not been previously considered. Fifteen years later, the “primal movement” has erupted in the fitness industry, and many disciplines maintain the belief that the way we have evolved to move gives us optimal fitness. But few experts really present a rational theory about how our movement evolved.Neuroscientist and TED keynote speaker Daniel Wolpert, Ph. D., states, ” Our brains evolved for one reason, and one reason only: to produce adaptable and complex movements.” All actions – from feelings to thoughts and communication-are physical actions aimed at controlling or suppressing future movements.
Therefore, exercises with “adaptable and complex movements” become a convincing, rational argument in favor of an evolutionary approach to fitness. Because we were genetically engineered to hunt and gather Paleo, our brains evolved specifically to provide the adaptive and complex movements we find in our ancient and modern martial arts, as well as through tribal dance expressions such as b-boy breakdancing and urban “locomotive” disciplines such as parkour. Let me put this concept simply: the way we were created to survive is exactly how we evolved to thrive. If you want to succeed in your physical form, you must go deep into your genetic structure, into the “symbols” as Joseph Campbell describes, or” archetypes” of Jungian psychology.”Tactical” fitness, or “movement that comes from and sustains our primeval heritage,” allows you to: move to survive, to become fit to thrive. Bodyguard Alberto Gallazzi and I continued this discussion all these years and eventually came to work together on distilling that early conversation in TAKFIT.You see, this is a very long development project, arriving here today with Tacfit Survival.During these 15 years, we focused on one key ingredient that most fitness approaches lacked: the gradual progression of [Adaptive and Complex Movement.
How do I start with the simple and move on to the complex in a way that never frustrates, confuses, or stops progress? The TACFIT software suite showed the public my formula for breaking down movements into their simplest components and building them step by step in an error-free process.Tacfit Survival is Alberto Gallazzi’s expression of this work and this 15-year friendship that we had with him. I can talk about Alberto in ways he can’t, so I want to share with you why I think you should listen to his views on the highest human achievements. In addition to his incredible pedigree of hands-on training for special operations teams around the world, as well as his service as an amphibious commando in the Italian Special Forces, he has protected some of the most targeted people in the world, such as the family of the Italian Prime Minister, George Clooney, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Gwyneth Paltrow and Victoria Beckham. When you have very little time, you stand for a very long time on the post, protecting high-ranking clients, you can not afford extra training.
Your workouts should be accurate, time-efficient, and include accelerated recovery. If you are beaten, exhausted by aches and pains, and unable to move with grace and strength, then your practice is by definition “unfit.””Alberto found that most of the approaches are useless exercises. Thanks to his past, Alberto has traveled all over the world training TACFIT: throughout the Middle East, through the European Union, to Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia, as well as to major metropolitan areas in North, Central and South America. He introduced it to other departments and staff more than any other person in the world, even me.One country in particular, Israel, has implemented TACFIT in its secret training centers, where Alberto has become one of the few outsiders in the world to teach. After learning various forms of Krav Maga over the years, Alberto won the World Championship in Hisardut, also known as “survival” jiu-jitsu, under the guidance of original founder Dr. J. Dennis Hanover. To support his training in this powerful practical martial art, Alberto asked me if he could create a TAKFIT protocol to prepare him for technique and tactics in Hisardut. Calling it “Tacfit Survival” – he created one of the most consolidated, time-efficient, and hands-on approaches I’ve ever had the honor of awarding the TACFIT chevron.
