About the course The main objective of this course is to demystify the process of writing, practicing, and delivering clear and engaging speech. In doing so, I hope that this course can help each student to improve the quality of their speeches and the confidence with which they present them.More specifically, upon successful completion of this course, you should be able to: design and deliver basic speech presentations concise form; design and deliver informative presentations clearly; design and deliver complex arguments persuasively; speak confidently with appropriate speed, projection, movement, and vocal variety; Assess and critique speeches with insight Course Syllabus Week 1: Course summary and key terms Week 2: Preparing for impromptu speeches Week 3: Delivering impromptu speeches Week 4: Basics of informational speaking Week 5: Preparing informational speeches Week 6: Delivery of informative speeches Week 7: Basics of persuasive speech Week 8: Preparation of persuasive speeches Week 9: Delivery of persuasive speeches Week 10: Conclusion of the course, or video camera) and the possibility of sharing this digital content through YouTube, Vimeo or Aparat.
